Il CBD aiuta i cani con l'artrite, afferma un nuovo studio della Cornell University

CBD helps dogs with arthritis, says new study from Cornell University

CBD oil continues to prove itself as an incredibly effective tool for helping with various ailments that your dog may be suffering from.

Researchers at Cornell University recently concluded a study on the effects of CBD oil on dogs suffering from osteoarthritis. Over the course of six weeks, during a double-blind study, dogs were orally administered CBD oil or a placebo twice daily. Dogs who took CBD oil showed clear improvements – veterinarians noted a decrease in pain and an increase in activity . And, even better, owners have reported no side effects in puppies who have taken CBD.

This is fantastic news for owners whose dogs suffer from arthritic pain. This painful disease affects all breeds, but especially larger ones and older dogs. Until now, most pet parents have had to rely on anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to give their dogs relief from joint pain. However, there are several problems related to these drugs. Veterinarians suspect that NSAIDs do not provide adequate relief for arthritis pain, and that they may have negative side effects on the body. Some dogs, especially older dogs with kidney or gastrointestinal disease, cannot take them at all.

This new research, and others that have studied the effects and uses of CBD oil in dogs, have reported no apparent side effects – and not just in young, healthy dogs. Senior dogs, those with neurological problems, and now dogs with joint pain are seeing the benefits that CBD oil has to offer, without suffering organ and tissue damage.
